We hope to be back to full power in the next 10 days. This allowed water to get in which we drained last week from the line. The tower climbers found a pencil size hole in a 20-foot section of transmission line from the lightning. UPDATE (8-24-22 / 5:10 pm) - Since my last update we have 1) taken parts of the transmission line (the pipe that takes the power from the transmitter to the antenna on the tower) apart and found the damage and have 2) ordered replacement parts.Listeners, especially in the Cheyenne area, will experience of little or no signal. We will be working on the antenna system this morning. UPDATE (8-17-22 / 7:50 am) - We have found the damage to the antenna. There may be periods of no service while work is being done on the antenna. The system is operating a greatly reduced power until repairs can be made. (8-16-22) - The antenna on Pilot Hill that serves Laramie/Cheyenne WPR signal suffered lightning damage in Saturday's storm.
